fun holiday abroad for dd age almost 2.... Not too long on plane?

Hi all.
I am trying to decide where to go for our first family holiday abroad with DD and DH. I definatley do not want to go anywhere like Benidorm or that type of place. The more exotic the better really. Would love to try new and interesting things/ unusual experiences etc but have to bear in mind we will have the LO and what it to be enjoyable for her first and foremost.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
PS: would love to ride an elephant or swim with dolphins......?

DD being only 2 means she will remember almost nothing from this holiday - sorry not trying to be too blunt but others will be saying/thinking it! So on this basis book the holiday that you want to go on but consider food, jabs etc for your LO. 2 year olds dont really appreciate these sorts of hols wait until she is 4 would be my best advice. If you want her to appreciate a holiday then take her somewhere with a beach, swings and a park she will love it whichever country they are in particularly as she has the undivided attention all day of her parents

Sardinia or Corsica!!! A bit more upmarket and beautiful beaches (Caribbean like) with gently shelving sand and warm sea - excellent for little ones paddling/making sandcastles. Add some very nice food, and a few excursions out - boat trips etc and it would be perfect. We went when dd was 15 months. It was glorious. piccies

Thank you for the advice. I know she won't remember it it's more the saftey aspect that i am thinking e.g. not ridiculously hot, not too many poisenous things and not too long a plane journey. I was thinknig morocco as it is not too far away only abut 4 hours on plane.... hmm i just don't know? Sardinia looks beautiful btw portofino thank you for sharing your pics.
