Going away in 3 days and not keen on carrying lots of cash but am taking about £350 in euros. A friend is using this but haven't heard of it and wanted to know if most people accept it? Is it any good basically?

Yup.
Accepted everywhere that took any cards (we went to Corfu last Summer and a few of the restaurants wouldn't accept any cards - most did though, and we had the option of going to the cashpoint). No problems at all (except when we cashed in the maony that was left on it, they didn't give us a very good rate)

Never heard of a Thoma Cook one. There is a cash passport card on Martin Lewis' Moneysaving expert website. There are also those FX cards which you pre load and then don't have to pay extra exchange rates. He recommends those.

Ive used it a lot in the US and Europe will no problems. Easy to get and a doodle to use. Never had it refused anywhere.
