What do do in roughly an hour's radius of Gloucester with a toddler and 4yo in crap weather?

We've cancelled our camping trip because the weather looks too hideous for it to be fun, but I've taken 2 days off work and I'd like to use at least one of them doing something nice together. Problem is most activities that I can think of involve being outdoors.

We were thinking of going on a train somewhere, but can't think where. Any tips for any activities?

I've not been, but friends have recommended here

Perry grove is good but mainly outdoors. Cattle country is good and plenty to do outside between showers. Or oasis in swindon...

I came on to recommend Forest of Dean, Perrygrove, Sculpture trail, Puzzle wood.... Then I realised you said about poor weather.

Thanks for the ideas. Perry grove looks fab but probably best appreciated in better weather. Oasis is one I've considered but DH refuses. He's a former Swindonite!

Anyone been to At Bristol? Is it any good. Kids would just be happy at a soft play but it's not DH and I's idea of a good time!

I'm with your DH. The idea of a day out in Swindon holds no appeal to me at all! (Lived there for 5 long years!)

@Bristol is good - bit pricey, but a good indoor choice.
