We go to Turkey a lot and we always go to the Bodrum Peninsula. There are several resorts depending on whether you want it lively or quiet, touristy or traditional.

All the resorts are within an hours transfer of Bodrum airport and it is very easy to get around the Peninsula where you get there.

we are going to Side last week in May staying at Suntopia Pegasos World - looks good! Does anyone know whats the weathers like in May? Reviews last May said it rained loads :( !

Oh i hope it doesnt rain we are off to The kefaluka Resort, in Akyarlar, Bodrum. On the 15th May.

Never been to Turkey before will be gutted if it bloody rains!!

You should be fine in May. Rain at that time of year is pretty unusual. My friend has lived in the Olu Deniz area for 10 years and is reporting that it's already very hot.

We went to Turkey - kusadasi, the first week in May.

Weather was nice - in the early 20's, lovely and warm although cool in the evenings (trousers and jackets needed!). It rained on our last day, but we didn't mind, we had a lovely week before!

We got a bargain holiday, £800 all inclusive for 2 adults and 1 child for a week. We stayed at Ephesia Holiday Beach Club. The food was excellent, the entertainment was good, the pool was fab, as it had slides, and with a 9 year old and DP they went down a storm!

It was the perfect holiday for just sitting lazing by the pool, doing very little. It wasn't particularly central, not a lot near by, but taxi's could be taken in to kusadasi. Non of that bothered me though, as we were just there for a weeks good food, sun, and relaxing! We did go out once to a waterpark, which was excellent, and for an evening meal, and to see the town.

We went to Kemer last year during the May half term and it rained so much it flooded the resort! It was quite fun as we never get storms or rain quite like it at home and it was lovely weather for most of the time!

Forgot to add we went to Club med Beldi and had a great time, great food and great activities and we are going to Club Med Palmiye in 7 weeks time!!

This is a gorgeous little place, very picturesque.

Yes, Turunc is very nice but it has a very long transfer over monutain. Once you get there it is lovely though.

Don't worry too much about rain, it is very unusual for it to rain in May, it is normally lovely and sunny Smile

Yes I do remember it was quite a long transfer, 2+ hours if I recall correctly, on a single track road clinging to the side of a mountain, with the Turkish driver managing an average of what felt like 90mph Grin

Probably the prettiest place I've ever been though.
