Hi, I have heard you can't take your own food and drinks in to the park. Is this true? Has anyone else been and managed to smuggle in their lunch, as I have heard its expensive to eat there.
Any other top tips, I am travelling during the school Easter hols with a DH, DD and granparents. Staying at Davy Crockett Ranch.

They don't allow picnics i.e. sitting down with a big lunch but we took in snacks e.g crisps, fruit, biscuits, juice last year - bags were looked in, and I have no idea whether they saw it or not but didn't say anything.

They do have water fountains throughout the park (which were a god send as we were there when it was really hot in September!)

You'll have no problems taking food in - officially it's not allowed but they never stop you.

Top tip - get to the park for opening, prob 8am with the extra hours for Disney hotel guests. Leave for the afternoon, have a swim in lovely Davy Crockett pool, eat light tea in the cabin, and go back for the evening if your DD is old enough to handle the later nights. You will avoid the more crowded times that way.

The new night time show sounds brilliant, hope you enjoy :)

If you are staying on a Disney hotel book breakfast inside the park. It's buffet style and you can take extra for later.

We went this time last year. Def always get up early, no matter how much u want lie in.... As when ur in a Disney hotel u get in park early and it's not at all packed then, so u get to go on all the popular rides then. Def take in bottles u can fill up, we had a small bottle with cordial in and filled up with water from fountains .... That saved us a fortune!!!! We took lunch in our bags no problem, but did really fill ourselves up at the buffet breakfasts anywAy!!! Buy a autograph book from a pound shop here, and take with u, kids loved getting the autographs as they walked around. Hope that helps, xxxWink
