Hi we are looking to stay in Dubai in early December and are interested in self catering accommodation. Does anyone have any tips - we = me, my DH and two kids, one 4.5 and the other 1.5. We'll want to be near the beach or a pool and preferably near the monorail. Obviously want to keep prices down as much as possible.
If anyone has any hints, tips, recommendations I'd be very grateful.

Also are there any good websites for getting great hotel deals at the top hotels at that time of year? Thinking Dar al Masyaf, One and Only, Atlantis...

just on way out but will come back on later.
Parents have lived in dubai for 8 years and i have spent more time there than uk (and lived in oz for 3 years)

Parents recenty moved from emirate hills to emirates gold club villas but inbetween moving they stayed at the Address marina mall hotel in an apartment, access to pool, hotel facilites, very close to the beach, all the malls, marina, "the walk" etc.

we dont know anyone here that likes the atlantis, its a bit of a tourist place and chavvy if you like, losts of much nicer hotels, Al Qusar, The one and only royal Mirage, Mina A Salam, Grovesnor House, The westin.

I have already been this year and back out next sat as my nephew being christened, out for the 6 weeks and xmas and new year, so anything you want to just ask as i know dubai like back of hand lol
