Swindon with 11 year olds

I will be spending the day in Swindon tomorrow with my sister and our two 11 year old boys.

We will arrive at 11.30 am and really, we are just killing time waiting for my dd who is busy in Swindon until approx 8pm.

Any locals amongst you who could suggest a way to fill all that time please?

I imagine it will be rather cold tomorrow - just to make the day seem even longer!

the leisure pool is good. I forget the name of it. Will be busy and a bit pricey, but worth a go.

Steam - quite a good museum about the railways. I know it sounds dull but it's actually quite good.

Do you mean the Oasis Merle?

Kellamity · 04/04/2012 21:07

Steam

Ice skating?

Steam is good. and next door to outlet shopping place fr lunch/shoes etc.

There's also Laser Quest & Ten Pin Bowling

Oh brilliant! Thanks all for such a quick response!

I'd looked at laserquest and thought we might do that after 5pm. Funnily enough I was just having a look at the GWR museum but didn't realise it was close to outlet shopping so that will be just right.

I'm feeling better about it now thanks.

not sure of the name - big; scary slides; a bucket- thing which tips water over people.

grim changing rooms.
