DD1 and I are off to Paultons Park next week. Any tips?

Quite looking forward to it, but would appreciate any advice or tips to make the say as easy as possible for me!

What is the food like? Is it better to take a picnic?

What are the main rides, and should I go to them first to avoid queues?

We always take a picnic, but buy the odd ice cream there. I take water bottles as drinks are expensive (as they are in most theme parks really).

Head for the main park first, as everyone goes straight to Peppa Pig World first and it's heaving in there. If you're going to do that bit I would leave it until later in the day.

We love Paulton's Park, and go a few times a year Smile

Thanks Sidge Smile

I think I take a picnic and use a locker to store it. Do you know if there are drinking water fountains?

Dd1 isn't that fussed by Peppa pig, is it worth going there for the rides, or should I just avoid it if she's not a fan.

How old is she? The rides are pretty tame and really aimed at preschoolers. My DDs think they're dull despite loving Peppa Pig!

I don't remember seeing water fountains.

She's 4.5.

I might skip the peppa pig bit altogether. She doesn't like people dressed up as characters so a giant pig coming towards her wouldn't be her idea of fun!

I went with DD2 in Sept and thought it was unexpectedly brilliant! Aiming to go back either DD1 and DH next week. I took food for DD2 and bought myself a hotdog. I also think I refilled water but can't quite remember.

It is fab - DS still talks about it

The rides are very tame and have very long queues. But PP World is fun just to wander around and there are things you can do without queuing (Peppa's house with animatronic piggies, photo op with madame gazelle, the inevitable PP merchandise shop).

Food rubbish and expensive, take a picnic and just buy icecreams.

There are fab rides in the main park and queues when we went were short. Highlight was the smallest of the rollercoasters (has a pic of a bug on the front), which is a 'proper' rollercoaster that's not boring for adults but still ok for a 4yo - DS loved it. Also log flume is fun.

Enjoy!!

We went last week and took a picnic as the food is crappy! DS adores Peppa Pig World but he's only 3. PPW seems to be busy in the morning and trails off towards the afternoon so do the rest of the park first. If the weather is nice take swimming stuff as there is PPW muddy puddles but also another water play area.
Also, the birds there are lovely and the dinosaur walk is great.
