Any suggestions? Me and my friend and my DS aged 13 and her DD aged 12. I had initially thought of going to a matinee show (can't be too late home - we live quite a way away) but can't get any matinee shows on a Friday, which is the day we can go.

We've done the museums to death, friend doesn't want to do London Eye, we've been to the aquarium, son not keen on shopping, friends DD doesn't do "scary" so London dungeon etc is out. I thought maybe the zoo, but can anyone else give me some other ideas?

Science Museum?

Or what about a boat trip on the river to Greenwich. Nice lunch and a bit of a wander round the shops / visit to National Maritime Museum / visit to Royal Observatory. And then back again on the boat.

How about one of the open top bus tours? You can hop on and off, and the cost of the ticket includes a river trip as well. I took two young teens last summer and they thought it was great.

I had left it too late to book one of the amphibous tours - "duck tours" I think they are called, but they look good fun too.

Good luck and have a lovely day!

Camden Market....in and out of all the pokey markety bits, wander around the food area under the bridge and see how many samples you can get! Sit on the Lambretta Scooters and gawp over the river!

Get henna tattoos and a fish pedicure!

What do you class as a museum?

There is Madam Tussauds, Ripleys Believe it or not, mueum of cartoons, museum of cinema, charles dickens, there's Hampton court, globe theatre, golden hind, galleries, etc etc. Depending on interest.

Have to say if I were you I'd go to a show. Any show:)

What is ripleys? I might suggest Camden market, it's not really "shopping" is it?
