Ghent on Easter Monday

Hi
We're going to Centre Parcs (De Kempervennen) for the week after Easter and have decided to stay over in Ghent on the Easter Monday.
Does anyone know whether things that I had taken for granted like trams and other forms of public transport will still be running on the Monday.
I guess most of the shops will be shut.
What about restuarants tho...?

Public transport and restaurants will be open. Shops very unlikely bar the odd tourist tat and corner shop.

I'm not 100% sure about public transport as they're on strike in Brussels as a conductor was murdered by a passenger on Saturday. :(

It should be unaffected in gent as it's a different transport company though.
