we will be around the area at Easter and looking for things to do. Happy to travel up to 90 mins from Chester. Have got 2 DDs aged 6 & 7.

There are tons of things to do 90 minutes from Chester! Chester Zoo is the most obvious one - it is a great zoo and takes a full day to see everything! Also, there is an aquarium in Chester which is ok plus a discount shopping village (Cheshire Oaks).

Further afield, there is Liverpool and Manchester both of which have lots of museums/tourist things to do (google them).

Or if you fancy a bit of tackiness, Blackpool is always a good day out - arcades, beaches plus the Pleasure Beach which now has a section based on Nickleodeon characters. The Tower also has a circus, play area plus the chance to go to the top (not that I will ever do that in a million years Grin)

Just a taster of what there is to do in the NW Smile

Can second the ice cream farm at tattenhall - we went twice!! There is a soft play centre, animals, outdoor play, viewable milking & lots of ice cream!

Erddig (NT) has brilliant gardens and lots of interactive stuff for kids. The ducks love being fed & our dcs loved the shire horses.

The swimming pool in wrexham looked like it had exciting flumes, and Beeston Castle was recommended to us but we didn't get there.

Catch the train out to Delamere Forest (or drive) and hire a bike to go around the forest tracks, there is also a go ape high ropes course there.

Applejacks or Stockley farm both worth a visit.

Ooh, if you are around over Easter weekend and like food, check out the Chester Food and Drink festival at Chester Racecourse. Best to get there early (opens at 10am), but the children's fairground attractions might clean you out!
