Have you been to a caravan with a 15 month old?

Mil and Fil have a caravan and we are taking DD in the summer.

What did you use as a barrier so you could keep the doors open?

We took our lot to a caravan last summer when dd3 was 12 months. Found a travel barrier worked fine.

Can't remember how old dd was at the time, but we used the coffee table that was in the caravan. Not ideal, but worked at the time - 15mths might be old enough to shift it though - probably best to get a proper gate of some sort.

Sorry, meant travel barrier.

Really? i was thinking the walls of the door would be too thin for them iykwim. we have just bought a travel barrier from Locks so will use that then. I was thinking a bit of wood wedge up with something but she is a strong little thing so would prob bring the whole thing down on her in seconds.

Some holiday companies do childfriendly caravans, that have slot in barred barriers, that you drop down into slots attached to the caravan walls - we had one of these on a holiday in France - VERY secure for little ones! I'm just trying to remember who we went with..... it was Eurosites, who are now part of Eurocamp.

We went, and we used a travel cot as a playpen. He didn't mind at all, which was good, as we were hardly ever in anyway.

We used a travel barrier at the front door which worked well. They were outside most of the time anayway getting mucky!

Don't caravans have stable doors anymore? I always went on caravan holidays as a child and they alwys had stable doors then.
