First time flying with the orange airline. Short hop in the uk and planning to take hand luggage only. Any hints/tips?

TIA

If you think you'll buy anything at all in the airport leave spare room in your bag to pack it away. When they say one cabin bag they really mean it.

Thanks Winkly. Anything else?

We flew to Europe last summer, family of 5, hand luggage only, easy peasy, you don't need tips :) don't bother with speedy boarding or whatever its called, those queues were longer than the regular ones!!

That's good to know ettiketti. Just didn't want to get caught out at the last minute!

You get what you pay for. I have used them loads. They are like a bus, you get on, you get off. You don't get entertained or fed on a bus.
I agree about the speedy boarding. Total ripoff. Do make sure your hand luggage is within the specified size. I was caught out once.

Can anyone confirm if the hand luggage weight is a max of 10kg, sometimes I have seen people with small suitcases which look quite large cases used for hand luggage, are Easyjet really strict on the sizes & weight for hand luggage?

Winkly · 25/03/2012 11:21

No maximum weight but the size is on the website and again they really mean it. You can fill your hand luggage with bricks if it's the right size and you can lift it. Think RyanAir might have a 10kg weight limit.

Oh if you're in a hurry at the other end try to get to the front of the boarding queue. They often don't have enough room for everyone's luggage in the cabin so the last on are made to have it checked in which is quite annoying.

The on board food is shit except the crisps. Eat before you fly or bring a picnic.

Easyjet is great, miles better than ryanair. For a short hop in the UK, no tips required.
