Hi, my husband is going to NY at the end of the mth for business and baby and I think of going with him for a little week. Is that crasy?
One of us would fly business and the other one economy. Is it better to fly during the day or at night to avoid the jetlag to affect baby?
Also, we have choice between United Airlines and American Airlines, any preference with baby? Don't know yet where baby will be, economy or business, even on knees, they charge 10% of ticket and if full seat with box in business, it's + expensive than full price economy.
Any recommendation for baby friendly hotel in NY?
Is the best option to use steri bottles? I am afraid he won't drink from new bottles but don't see how I could sterilise bottles in hotel...any idea? Thank you and sorry for long msg

Hi, ive been twice but never with a baby. I have flew with aa which were really good. Seem to get more room and the crew were good when i was ill. The hotel i stayed in the first time was the www.newyorkhelmsley.com on 42nd street. the hotel this time was www.doubletreesuites.com
you get a bedroom with two double beds and a living room with a bed settee, a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. Not cheap but deffo worth the money. I was talking to a woman in the airport coming home and she had a baby who was 11mth old. she said the only prob had been that he kept waking up at 4am, which of course would be 9 in the uk, he stayed awake for two hours then went back to sleep. she also said that because it was cold outside but warm in the shops she had to keep taking his coat off which got him quite grumpy.

thank u for the hotels..I am going to check as microwave sounds good to sterilise bottles...my baby doesn't sleep well at night anyway so will see...Flew to NY with AA less than 2 yrs ago, was good, heard was more roomy than United, so wanted to check as with a baby it makes a difference...
