My DS sleeps really well at home but not in his travel cot. We have got 3 trips away very soon and I am not sure what to do. Wonder if it is because the matress is so hard and thin in the travel cot. Any recommendations? Have looked at travel cot matresses on amazon but not sure how easy they are to travel with or is that just what you have to do? Any advice please. Thanks.

Dd (11mo) doesn't either. Last trip I put her on a blow up mattress with blankets on top, with her usual sleeping bag & duvet combo and she was fine.
I sort of built up the sides, against a wall and with a cupboard on the other side.
Mind you she doesn't roll and is very chilled (lazy?!) so didn't try to escape.

My DD never slept well in a travel cot either so we just put her in the bed with us whenever we went away. Saves carrying a travel cot too Wink

does she sleep well in an ordinary cot? if so ask if you can book one of these where ever you are staying. if not then make up a bed on the floor and remember not to tread on him in the night!!

Once my DD was over 1 we started folding up a duvet and putting the sheet over it so it made a super thick mattress. She sleeps like a dream in a travel cot now. Might be worth a try.

My first ready bed? Ours had those from very young.
