Carseats in hire cars in spain

Were off to spain with eight month old next month, does anyone know if they are provided or should we take ours.

We always took our own, didn't want to take the risk with hire ones.

We took our own last year when DS was 8 months and it worked perfectly, just went in the hold on the plane and then was installed into the hire car.

We're planning this years trip in June and I'm debating if we should take his car seat now hes bigger or hire one for the car as the next size up car seat seems very heavy to transport.

We hired a car in spain when DD1 was 14 months and it came with a car seat in (which we requested). It wasn't the world's cleanest, but it was a standard make, sturdy-looking and safe.
