Hi all, we are off on holiday soon and wondered if anyone had some handy hints when flying with a 9month old little boy, this will be my first time, so naturally quite concerned for him...

I look forward to hearing some handy tips :)

How long is the flight? how is he fed? Does he use a dummy? is it day or night?
I flew a lot with DD at that age, if we were going overnight, I'd put her into nightclothes, as we took off she either had a bottle or her dummy then I'd try to get her to sleep.
Day time flights she had the bottle/dummy and I'd try to amuse her. books, soft toys, stories etc.

If you are breastfeeding, then I would feed him on take off and landing. I did this when I took 8 month old DS to Spain and then again to Ireland when he was 10 months.

I am breastfeeding and he is on solids
Flight is 5 hours, going out is night time coming back is afternoon.
No he doesn't use a dummy.

pjd Thanks I will certainly do that, was your LO ears badly affected? really worried about any possible long lasting effects?
