Cheap parking in Brighton

DP is taking me to brighton for mothers day and the last time we went we paid £17 in parking! Its sunday obviously so parking shouldnt be too much trouble, but where is best, ie cheap and close to the shops/sea? I dont mind a bit of a walk.

Thanks!

Sunday is a nightmare for parking in Brighton and traffic can be really bad. It is better to approach from Hove way if poss. Is the train an option as station just up a bit from the shops?

If you are in town by the latest 11pm, churchill square is okish price wise, or you could park in London Road car park and walk through the north lanes. Depends how long you'll be in Brighton for!

If you park in the Marina it is free, and a lovely walk into town along the seafront (20 mins or so). If you do want to do that, make sure you walk out of the car park through the tunnel which is next to the hand car wash place; that'll take you to the road running along the beach.

Thanks all, some good ideas here. We are leaving tmw at 8am so should be there very early!
