Just looking for different peoples' points of view

  1. Blow the budget on summer hol in the sun

  2. Spread the budget on 3 uk holidays. 4 days at Easter, 10 days in summer and 4 days in Octber half term

hmmm would probably ideally do a combination - one short and one longer in the summer - otherwise 2.

number 2 because you get the chance to see three new places instead of just one! Unless your kids are much older, I think they get more out of holidays in this country which (sometimes, weather permitting!) can be both beach holidays and cultural/learning experiences. Sometimes a holiday in the sun can be too much for littlies, I think.

We always do cheap hot holiday in the winter (canaries 1 week - sun sea pool etc) ...then england in the summer is great - there are so many interesting places to go and it is much easier. definietly need to escape more than once a year
