Any recommendations for Morocco in June with an 8 and 10 year old?

We are looking to go away for the first week in June to somewhere warm and were thinking of Morocco. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay with a 10 and an 8 year old. They do not need entertaining so no holiday club required, but a pool essential. Ideally an apartment so that we can be flexible about eating out or snacking in...

Have a look at the town of Essaouira. Its on the coast near to Marrakech (making a day trip there easy). Beautiful little town. But probably more of a riad (local style hotel) place than a complex sort of place.

Just be aware that it will be VERY hot there in June.

Its a great place and definitely one not to miss.

I was just about to recommend Essouira! Lovely place, like a mini Marrakech - old city within walls with more modern buildings / hotels outside. Gorgeous beach, tho famed for its windiness. Not as developed as places like Agadir.
We stayed in a riad in the old medina through responsibletravel.com and used a travel company called www.naturallymorocco.co.uk for other parts of morocco. I'd recommend giving them a call as they can create personal itineraries and are very friendly and well-priced.
One of my favourite holidays!

I second Essaouira. It's small enough to comfortably get about, but still bustling with plenty happening.

Forgot to say: if you fancy somewhere less-city then try www.naturallymorocco.co.uk/destinations/high-atlas/ouirgane/la-bergerie.html?backref=accommodation-finder - up in the atlas mountains, maybe an hour from Marrakech. Stunning, great pool, good food and lovely bungalow rooms.
Can you tell I loved it there?!
