Algarve - amarcao de pera

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in this resort?
We have booked a villa here for a family holiday over Easter. I think it is supposed to be a bit of a concrete jungle, but with a good beach and nice old town. In an ideal world we would go somewhere with more character, but the villa looks fab and it was a good price.
Anyone any advice on what not to miss, or any other tips at all really. This is our first beach holiday with kids - one 4, one 6 and one 13.
Thank you!

It's a really nice place actually. We didn't stay at Armacao and had expected it to be 'concrete jungle' ish but when we visited really liked it.

Very portugese, nice places to eat, lively place that isn't just a resort.

Lots of kids playing on the beach too, some fantastic football played by boys/youths, were very impressed.

If you have hire car Silves (old capital town), Portimao & Lagos (both bustling towns) all worth a visit for wander about.

If you have boys go to Karting Almancil, great place with no entrance fee so you just pay for what you want to do, karting for little ones to grown ups.

Lagos Zoo worth a visit too, not expensive, from what I remember.

Have a good time, have been in Algarve in easter & lovely warm & sunny.

Thanks for that!
Where is the karting? My 4 year old would love that, if he wouldn't be too young.
It's good to get info on where to visit, the towns you mentioned sound nice.
I don't suppose you know of anywhere that has an Easter procession? My parents are really keen on that kind of stuff.
Can't wait to go now!
