Go karting

I think that my 4yo ds would really enjoy himself if I took him go karting. When I looked up our local go karting track (Buckmore Park), I found that it was £15 for 15 minutes! Does anyone else think that this is reeeally expensive? Or does this sound about right for go karting? I can understand if you want them to have a proper lesson and really get into it. But a 4 year old just going for fun and will probably spend the whole time bumping into the barriers? I thought that it sounded a bit much.

DCs secondary school is very close to Rye House track. The school gets a discount and books a few weeks after school, which costs about £10 a week, but it is normally nearer £30.
The cost is £52 an hour at Rye House.
