Should we rent a car in Lanzarote?

We have booked an all-in family holiday for April. We have a DS (2) and DD (4). We are not sure if we should rent a car. Any advice?

I would recommend a car. Much easier to get around if you rent one, even if just for part of the holiday.

Thanks for the advice. Has anyone visited the island without a car?

I went without planning to rent a car, but after a few days we hired a car for another few days. It allowed us to see some of the things that were a bit further afield without having to worry about buses and taxis.

I would always rent a car, wherever I was, even if just for a few days, and especially if going all-inc.

There is always so much more to see than the resort you are in. Get a guide book for the whole Island and go exploring.

In Crete once, we hired a car for 2 days, and covered most of the Island. We ended up having lunch at a farmhouse on top of a mountain one day, watching a pair of Golden Eagles hunting/soaring on the thermals. I remember that more than the beach and hotel. Smile

Right. Car rental it is! Thanks
