Red Sea at Christmas and Sensatori Sharm El Sheikh?

I am not convinced about Egypt at Christmas, as I am worried it won't be warm enough. Is it hot enough for sunbathing? (not that we'll be sunbathing as we will have a million DC with us... Grin ) Is it plenty hot enough to swim in the pools and sea?

Also, has anyone been to the above hotel and how did you find it? Does anyone know if they have interconnecting rooms or of any hotels on the Red Sea that do please?

We've been 2 out of the last 3 Christmas' and been opn the beach every day of that answers your question. I would say temps average 27/28 degrees. Pools and sea are definitely cool but DD (4) went in every day and big hotels usually have one pool which is heated. We stayed at the red sea holiday village and it was lovely and we had a kids den room which meant DD had her own bedroom and we had some space once she had gone to bed.

My mum went to Taba a couple of years agi for Christmas and said she could just about sunbathe but the pools were freezing. I would check out if the pools are heated before booking.
