Is greece too hot for a family summer holiday

My dh insists we cannot go to Greece because of the heat. Please tell us we can have a greek island holiday!! Our children are of mixed race and can cope with sun. They do hate extreme heat like all kids..we have been to the caribbean and Florida so what is so different about Greece? My dh says Greece has unbearable heat.. Help us out here??

greece is the only place that we go on holiday at the moment. never found the heat to be aproblem, not as humid as florida. found the people to be really friendly and most places cater for children. best holidays we have had, we have been to Kos, Crete, Corfu, Zante and Rhodes. Crete was the hottest, but koswas wonderful with the kids.
