Sun, sand, sea on the med in July. Any suggestions?

Looking for somewhere in France on the med. for a great family holiday that doesn't include everyone else from Europe fighting over a tiny bit of beach... tall order, any suggestions? Prepared to spend a bit as it will be our only holiday this year. Started looking into it and noticed some hotels have 'private beach'. Is that the way to go?

We have been "camping" in top of range mobile homes on the med - great for kids as freedom, kids clubs etc, and some have direct beach access. We go in August & have never had trouble finding space on beach.

La Carabasse (siblu) has it's own beach club, & is a good site. SOme vans have air conditioning. You tend to get more room than in a hotel room. The large vans are very spacious. And you get your car!

Marbeth - it look AMAZING, have to say. Unfotunately, need to stick to France this year (got to keep travel time down to a minimum and figure S. France is the closest simplest place to travel to). But next year..... Have bookmarked the website.

Marbeth, did Oceania have creche facilities for babies? I have dd1, 3 years and dd2 will be 14 months.

Hi Lipstickmum

There were no creche facilities last year for under 4.I think the hotel advertised them last year but could not get the qualified staff.I dont know if they have any plans for this summer. You could email the hotel and ask. They are excellant and returning emails. We booked it direct this year and saved quite a bit of money compared to brochure price.
