Am thinking of a last minute Easter holiday and am going by where are cheap flights out of our local airport plus warm weather and Bodrum fits the criteria.

Child friendly, good beach, not too touristy but enough to do as not boring

Would love some personal recommendations or else will have to trawl owners direct
Thankyou

Ok well Bodrum itself will be open during the Easter period but a lot of the resorts wont open up until the beginning of May.

If you are renting a villa though and you have a car to get about then you could stay around the Yalikavak/Gumusluk area as that is where you will find the majority of the villas. Other wise you could actually stay in Bodrum.

There isn't much of a beach in bodrum but to be honest it may not really be beach weather, it should be warm in the day time but the sea will be very cold. A lot of the beaches on the resorts wont actually be ready either.

It is certainly very child friendly there though and there will be plenty to see, a;lthough agian as the season doesn't really start until May some of the day trips may not be available and you amy have to book any trips from Bodrum reather than the resorts.

Anyway I hope you have a nice time. It is pretty quiet that time of the year but it is a lovely time if you want to get around and explore.

I used to live in Bodrum and we still go there every year for holidays Smile

Thankyou for your helpful posting
I did wonder about the season as the Greek islands can be quite similar.
So far DS's passport hasn't made it back on time so might postpone until summer when there will be a lot more happening

If you are after a proper beach tyep holiday then yes, the summer would be best. May/June half term is a lovely time to go.
