Cornwall hols

Could anyone advise on best places in Cornwall for children under 5? Looking for bucket and spade type hol, taking into account, of course, that it will probably rain half the time, so need a place that may also have indoor activities. We are looking to hire a cottage or similar.

thanks all

Watergate Bay is nice and there are lots of different types of accommodation available. Plus cafes and restaurants (Jamie Oliver).

We actually stayed in a golfclub/health centre called Atlantic Reach. it wasn't luxury but had indoor and outdoor pools and a soft play centre, as well as a bar and restaurants and spa. It's near Newquay. The accommodation isn't cottages--more little houses. Some are a bit sad looking outside, but inside they are fine. The indoor facilities made the appalling weather a bit easier to deal with.

We go to the Sands resort hotel just outside Newquay near Watergate bay, its so child friendly that everyone in the family loves going there... (we've been 4 times!) We have recommended it to friends who have gone with their little ones and loved it too... It has an indoor and outdoor pool, play areas indoors and out, mini golf and tennis plus a spa! Its near several beaches (walking distance) and loads if you drive!

Looe in cornwall is lovely. We were thinking about a holiday there later this year. There is a parkdean caravan park with plenty of activities for kids, and Looe itself is lovely. There is also a monkey sanctuary a short drive away, which i loved when i was little. Lots of lovely memories from Looe, thats why we were planning a ridiculously long drive down there from scotland!

May I take the opportunity to shamelessly promote our lovely holiday home. It's it's first year as a rental - we lived there until last August so there are still spaces in the Easter and Summer hols.

Phalaropes

It's near Sennen, a gorgeous child-friendly beach, very family friendly (travelcot, highchair, babygates all available on request) walking distance of restaurants and pubs, sea views......

More info if you pm me!
