Is it safe to go to Eygpt now?

We are looking st Sharm for a holiday in April. DH says its not safe enough? The Foreign and Commonwealth government website doesn't mention Sharm at all, it talks more about Sinai and Cairo.

We went in January and had no problems at all

A French tourist got killed in the old souk of Sharm el-Sheikh a few weeks ago. It may just have been an unfortunate incident though.

ok, thanks for the posts. DH has convinced me that it's just not worth the risk when then are so many other places to go in the world.

My friend has just come back from Cairo and she had a fantastic holiday she said there were no problems at all and she loved it.
