I've just been looking through the day out on the tesco clubcard page and found Wookey Hole. I used to go when I was little and loved it but there's so much more thre now. DD has just turned 4 so am wondering if she'd be impressed or bored or scared of the dragons and wizards etc!!

Is it worth making a day out for?

I went a couple of years ago but didnt get to see much as ds was with us and was just a baby and screamed all the way round!

Oo yes, I went a couple of years ago and its was better than I expected.

We went a couple of years ago when our DD was just a tiny bit younger than yours. She was terrified in the caves and was a nightmare, but when she talks about going there she said she loved it. The mirrors were good fun though and the fairground bit. You could maybe combine it with Wells, have lunch in the Cathedral or take a picnic. There's a lovely playground behind the Cathedral.

went in 2004 when ds was 5, dd1 3 and dd2 1 - they were all terrified (the tour guide person spices up the tour with ghost stories, but it is quite dark/oppressive anyway)

Thats a shame, cos DS loves that sort of thing. Maybe its because it not old enough to be scared as such.

Hmm... maybe it would be a bit much for her...would be a nightmare to get all the way there and she hated it!! Was the 'fairy garden' there when you went kittypickle?

That will teach me to have a look at websites before I post won't it No, half of that stuff wasn't there ! Looking at the website at the new stuff I take it all back and I would try it with your DD as it looks like there is loads of stuff for them now. In fact I think we might go again when we go and stay at our friend's house in Somerset in May, so thank you for that
