Greek islands? Eg I remember staying somewhere beautiful on one of the smaller ones -schinoussa? (sp?) a couple of boat trips from Athens or santorini to get there, but be-a-u-tiful.

And I guess Greece could do with the tourism right now...

Tortington · 22/02/2012 22:46

Ah, does it have to be a private hut? Rather than a b&b etc? That might be your budget buster....

LittleMissGoodEnough · 22/02/2012 22:58

I think this might have been where we stayed. Very nice, not posh, but beautiful. It was a heck of a long time ago mind!

LittleMissGoodEnough · 22/02/2012 22:59

Pps ssssshhh, don't tell anyone else, I'd like to go back there one day!

Goa? £400ish each for flights then beach huts galore. Google Chattai beach huts in Palolem and Agonda Beach, cost me about £60 for 7 nights.

Portofino · 22/02/2012 23:04

Tikki huts on Kontiki site Pampelonne beach, St Tropez. I like to think that this isn't slumming it too much. A few paces and you could be at Club 55. We went for my 40th. They have a nice spa.

Portofino · 22/02/2012 23:06

here

Tortington · 22/02/2012 23:11

had a long long look at palolem and agonda and found cola beach too - look really good

prices really good - not afraid of slumming it as long as its clean

airfare however was 550 each which kinda blew it :(

porto - that looks really good, but i have done france to death

any more suggestions?

Nissi Beach Hotel is on a very nice beach, in shoulder season they seem to have rooms for €66 a night. They also have beach bungalows but can't see the price (ratty iPhone browser). A site like Travelsupermarket might have good deals for that kind of place.

Have you looked at Goa packages? When we were there we met people who'd booked a package then not used the accommodation, because the package flights were so much cheaper than schedules ones.
