Any experience with this?

Cant decide where to go.Have booked the first week of April. This is the first time we are going to go abroad with children(11 and 3) and I am really stressed with it.
Ideally, Somewhere where there is Sun, lot of activities for 11 year old, dont need any childcare.

Hi there, I have heard good things about the Oceania Club although I have not been. Have you considered Sani Resort, also in Halkidiki?? It's a 50-min transfer from Thessaloniki airport. Have been there twice in a row and it's probably the most effortless holiday we have had with the children (aged 3 and 1), great choice of accommodation, top class food and facilities and lots to do for the whole family www.saniresort.com

would the Sani be any good weather wise for early April do you think? heated pools?

went to Oceania in May a few years ago and the pools were not heated so quite chilly. The hotel is nice though, has a nice little private beach a short walk away (steep hill but not too hard) which has beds and umbrellas that you don't need to pay for. beach is coarse sand but not too bad although it's quite pebbly just as you go into the water. The hotel had put some sandbags down in the water for a path to get you past these and to the sandy bits - water stays shallow for quite a while.

thanks gsc. Ive just checked and the Sani doesn't open until the end of April so that knocks that one out for me. I'm guessing most of Halkidiki will be the same. And a cold pool is one of the things I really want to avoid.
