Paris with 2 Yr old

We'd like to go to Paris in april/may with a just turned 2 yr old. but aren't too familiar with the area.
Any suggestions of nic areas/hotel/things to do that would not break the bank would be appreciated. Thank

With a small one go to Jardin de luxembourg ( great play area) and jardin d'acclimatation in the bois de boulogne. Stay quite central and you will be fine as everything is quite close together. However bring an umbrella/v lightweight stroller as the metro has alot of stairs.HTH, jennie
