Hi everyone,
We are travelling to Egypt (Sharm) on Tuesday and I wondered about getting a visa. I've seen on one website that you get them from the airport and it is £15 each. I assume kids need one too? Do we get lead to the visa area, would hate to pass it by and get arrested for unlawful entry to the country or something!?!

Any Sharm tips, I am so familiar with European places that for some reason going to a new place has thrown me. Is it safe to going into Sharm centre at night?

Thanks

Oh they lead you there alright.....worry not! Sharm airport is a little hectic! My DS2 was stopped entering with suspected swine flu, his temp was elevated half a degree! despite that - and we DID get in - it was quite simple.

Depending where you are going you might not need a visa, if you stay in sinai (I think) you dont need one.

Omg did your ds look ill or did they do everyone's temp? That is thorough!

I'm not really sure where we are staying, defo Sharm but not sure which area.

Thanks Psocid

Don't worry about not getting the visa. I flew into Cairo years ago. Getting the cash from you was the priority and this was only weeks after the shooting at Valley of the Kings/Queens.

He had a cold....then a longish flight and looked a little warm - but it WAS 40C outside, we were all a little warm! It was in the middle of the swine flu panic, they tested loads of people.

I love egypt, am very Envy
