Canaries or Tunisia - apartments and villas?

Can anyone recommend a firm who does decent villa or apartment rentals in either the Canaries or maybe Tunisia? All the big companies who offer apartments expect you to sleep four to a room or pay huge supplements for so-called under-occupancy. We'd be happy to sort out our own flights etc. Thanks everyone in advance!

Have you thought of renting from a private owner? Sunday papers often have adverts. Have done this in Spain and the US and been lucky - asked lots of searching pertinent questions before we accepted any. Thebest thing was that it wascheaper than going through a big company, and it didn't matter how 'under-occupied ' we were.
