Family friendly pub in Reading?

Does anyone know of a good pub in the Reading area which is good for kids, preferably with some sort of play area? The Thatchers Tavern in Woodley has been mentioned but I've never been there.

I had lunch with my kids in The Moderation last summer if that's any help? The Monks Retreat is a Weatherspoon apparently so that would probably count too.

There's The Mansion House in Prospect Park, it's a Harvester but it's in the middle of a huge park.
