We're hoping to go to Paris between xmas and new year with hubbie and ds aged 2. does anyone have any recommendations for child-friendly hotels, eg; baby listening, places for the kids to play etc? thanks

I've been watching this, hoping someone would post! We're going to Paris next summer, (dss will be 5 and 7). Been thinking about the Novotel near the Gare de Lyon. Anyone been?

this looks lovely

Thanks Codswallop - they look gorgeous. But minimum 7 nights stay, which makes them really expensive. I'd actually prefer self-catering to a hotel, but it seems a very pricey option.

Any mumsnetters in Paris fancy a house-swap to the Lake District next summer?!

There is a company that is called Citadines Apart-hotel They have a number of studios/apartments in a hotel type complex. They include a little kitchenette and can be booked by the day. They have a website, do a google search in citadines (I think I have spelt it right)

We stayed here in september with ds age 2. We had a standard room which was a bit tired but did have a mezzanine area so we didn't have to have the cot at the foot of our bed, but my brother had a family room that was better. There are superior rooms that I'd go for next time. The travel cot they offered us was terrible, I'm glad we took our own.

However the staff were great. We kept some kids' food in the bar fridge (I took some dinners frozen in tupperwares) which they heated up for us when needed and were happy to fetch bottles of milk.

The location is great. Close to place des vosges with its lovely childrens' play area and also walking distance to Mango so something for eveyone.

Have a lovely time.
