I don't think it's long enough to go abroad anywhere, even driving to France we'd only get a couple of days somewhere so probably uk. Too cold for camping so we'd need to stay in a b&b or travelodge type place. School holidays so centreparcs would be too much. We live in east midlands but I have a car so prepared to drive.

Bloody he'll, eurostar to Paris for 2 people and no car would be £270!

Try looking at cityjet to Antwerp. They occasionally have special offers.
DH is coming in tonight to Manchester.

Look on cottages4you for cheap short break?

Or travel lodge in London & see the sights

I went to Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Wales a few Easters ago and would really recommend it. Absolutely beautiful scenery and were lucky enough to have a heat wave and spend a few hours each afternoon on the beach.
Another year I took the children to Alton Towers and Warwick Castle and made a long weekend of it.
How about the Peak District and a visit to Chatsworth?

Or Cotswolds, Dorset, New Forest?

Went to Tenby last summer and London last may.

New forest sounds nice.
