Flying on Virgin - will the plane be chilly?!

Flying to the US with Virgin Atlantic soon - daytime flight. will it be air-conditioned and cold or quite warm? I'm just wondering whether to put a t-shirt or long-sleeved top on DS for the flight...

I would put him in a long sleeve top and a cardigan and then pack a T-shirt in your hand luggage in case that particular flight is hot but most get a bit chilly on an airplane.

Layer up. Problem solved.

Oh, t-shirt in hand luggage is good idea! I didn't want to layer t-shirt and long-sleeved top and cardi but that's a great idea. Thanks!

They will give you a blanket so don't worry. Get DS to wear an old tshirt as it will no doubt get grubby and dirty.

Layers are the way to go but if you are uncomfortably hot or cold you can ask the steward(ess) to increase the temperature in your zone.

Always find the flights too cold to start with then too hot when you are trying to sleep and too light, and too noisy, and too many people bashing your seat back (it's night time, food service is over and cleared up, - I am going to recline!) - as the prior posters have said - layers!!

I always find flights too cold regardless of which airline I am flying with. I have to wear socks to fly, even in midsummer because my feet get so cold.

Flew to the States last month with Virgin. Plane was hot on the way out (day flight) and freezing on the way home (night flight). And they took my blanket off me about 45 minutes before landing so I was left shivering...so defintely go prepared with layers.
