microscooters in hand luggage

We are taking an economical last minute holiday, and we aren't planning to pay for the extra hold baggage.
I want to take 2 micro scooters, and wondered if anyone had had any problems getting them past security at the airport?

I'd be astonished if they let you through with a large metal item that you could very easily bludgeon someone to death with.

You shouldn't have any problems. I've heard heaps of stories from our customers who have taken their scooters overseas as carry-on. Especially the Mini Micro.
This is all anecdotal though so you may want to check with the airport.

if you are taking scooters i am guessing kids are going to need booster seats when you get there, take your own booster seats and wrap them up with the scooters and put the whole lot in the hold.

I think you would need to contact the airline as they all have different rules. If they are new and in boxes I'm sure it would be no problem if they are already built it would probably be better if you could dismantle them but I'm not sure how easy that is as I have never tried!

The handle does dismantle pretty easily but they are very heavy so will take up a lot of your allowance, if it is an economy airline their weight allowance is pretty small. When my DC was small i nearly did thie then decided to just make her walk!
