Has anyone been to Hotel IFA Catarina in Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria???

We are looking for a family orientated hotel - not necessarily in Gran Canaria but we have found a great deal with Low Cost Holidays to this hotel in August. Have been to Tenerife and Fuerteventura but don't know much about Gran Canaria, am a bit worried that it will be full of club 18-30s!!!
Has anyone been to this hotel or resort?

I've been to Playa del Ingles. It was good, the beaches are amazing though, and also just along at Maspalomas. Of an evening approx 10pm onwards the Yumbo centre (open air shops and restaurants and bars) becomes Gay Central. This is actually fine, as they don't get hammered and start fights and vomit everywhere. I felt safer there than I would surrounded by 18-30's.
