flights - HOW MUCH?

oh my goodness, we have decided that now ds1 is 5, ds2 is 3 and ds3 is nearly 2 to go on holiday.... ABROAD...WOOHOO YAY etc.
ds1 beyond excited that he is going on a plane, it is the main reason we are going...
found a lovely villa WOOHOO YAY etc.
looking into flights BOOOOO
cannot believe that because we have to go in Easter hols they are SOOO expensive, £335.00 return EACH, we're only going to paphos in cyprus, from london.
Am I missing something that you very clever mnetters know about?

I always book 11 months ahead and try to book mid week flights.

We had similar problems with villa/flights combos too, and we were considering anywhere around the med!

in the end, with car hire as well, it was just too much and we got a 5* all inclusive hol for at least 1k less. It will be more than that saved if we counted our food bills etc if we were in a villa.

It's paying for the kids flights that's a killer! Bloody kids...

why do you have to go in the easter hols?

Your eldes is just 5 years old !

Take hi9m out of school and go when it is cheaper.

I wouldn't even contemplate going in school hols at the ages of your dc.

Sorry didnt think that £335 for an easter flight to cyprus was over the top. it is expensive to fly and getting more so. agree with laughing that you should pull eldest out of school for a week. really what do they miss at 5!

Find a cheap package holiday for Easter. Thomas Cook has one for £245 per person. Then only use the flight and not the hotel.

You are booking too late for the better prices and Easter is always pricey. Cyprus is a 5 hour flight - it won't be that cheap. Have you checked Easyjet?
