I've read some mixed reviews, but it sounds like it's improved a lot recently. Has anyone been? Is it worth a tenner?

I haven't been for eight years and I went me and dd were the only visitors the whole afternoon we were there! They had meerkats, wallabies and I think a zebra. Lots of fishing lakes with fishermen. And birds of prey.

I was thinking only this morning about going back as I understand its a lot bigger now and has lions and tigers.

To be honest even when we went I enjoyed it. But it was a nice, sunny day and so peaceful in the grounds.

I love it. We went last summer and loved the fact that it felt quite homely and had plenty of time to go to the talks and the falconry display. The tigers weren't there for us to see last time, but we will go again this year.

I also like that you can walk around inside the lemur enclosure and the wallabies. We didn't bother with the farm as we have Cannon Hall farm close by. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the success story with the lions is wonderful.
