Cottage/gite to rent at the end of Feb nr Eymoutiers

My dp and I are house hunting in the Limousin at the end of February and need somewhere to stay. Does anyone have (or know someone who has) a cottage/gite to rent for 3 nights from 27/2/06 to 2/3/06 in or around Eymoutiers? Only needs to accommodate 2 people.

Thanks.

Have a look at www.gites-de-france.fr. Excellent website, I have used Gites De France about 5 times now, all excellent. Go for a gite with 3 "ears of corn".

Just had a quick look myself, you will need to search based on a whole week i.e from Sat 25th

Alternatively look at the "book B&B" section of the Gites de France website then type in Eymoutiers, it brings up a number of Chambre D'Hotes.

Well there is this one - actually in Eymoutiers apparently and not booked in Feb. One week in Feb costs £360 (including short ferry crossing); it says it does short breaks but doesn't give a price. For UK cottages 2 nights is usually about 1/2 the cost of a week, and 3-4 nights between 2/3 and 3/4.

Ring up and see how much it would be?

Here's another - not normally available at this time of year but you could ring and ask.

B&B 17 km from E; 40 euros a night.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately Gites de France did not have anything suitable at the time we want to go or was too expensive for us . Our budget is a maximum of about £75 for 3 nights of accommodation which is why we only want a basic cottage but for a b&b it seems to be costing around £95+. We were offered one place for a paltry £50 but we would have had to have slept in twin beds. I know it's only for 3 nights but dp and I don't get much free time these days with 3 kids so this will be our only chance for some time to be child-free - so we want to make the most of it IYSWIM . However, if the situation doesn't change we may have to put up with it! Thanks anyway.
