We'd like to go away spring half term. This is what we like,
Self catering somewhere quiet
A pool, preferably only shared with a few other properties
Sunshine
Three-four flying max
Transfer 1 hr max
Nice food and booze
Picturesque towns/villages/countryside
A decent holiday company or happy to sort ourselves
Budget around £1500-£2000
Where should we go??!!!

Croatia.

We stayed on the Makarska Riviera during the May half term week and it was fantastic. Their holiday season doesn't kick off until June and the Brits haven't yet rediscovered Croatia. It was stunningly beautiful, we had wonderful weather, there were no lager louts/binge drinking Brits, no kids clubs, no karaoke, no English bars serving all day breakfasts etc. The flight to Split was about 2.5 hours and the transfer was just over an hour. We would go back.

Like the idea of Croatia. Bit worried about Greece, have visions of economic collapse and people raiding banks and not being able to get home!
We do want sun, and had a vvv rainy week in South of France 3 yrs ago at the end of may so worried it may do same!
I've been looking at Sardinia and Menorca if anyone knows anything about them?
Don't want to be far from airport either. Plane to swimming cozzie in less than an hour! (ish!!)
