Hi All.

I was wondering if anyone has travelled with Cathay Pacific Long haul with a baby under 6months as I am travelling back from Adelaide to London Heathrow in April with my husband and 5 month old.

We are flying Adelaide-Hong Kong then Hong Kong-London Heathrow.

I am looking for people to give me advice on what to expect from the airline and staff so that I have some idea.

Preferably people who have travelled on Cathay pacific in the last year.

Thanks for reading.

No child experience but Cathay are simply amazing IME. I have seen a lot of people travel with then with children and they seemed very content. I chose CP every time I travel in the area of HK etc as it's simply lovely...

I have flown Cathay a few times but only once with DS when he was 7 months old and we got an upgrade to business class.

I am not sure what you expect the staff onboard to do for you? If you have requested a bulkhead seat and bassinet then good. They will give you boiling water for formula if you need it. They will serve your meals separately if you need them to while one of you holds the baby. They will come and tell you if you need to lift DC from the bassinet due to turbulence.

I have flown with Cathay a few times, (not with a baby though) and service is excellent. We flew to NZ in December and they let my dd (5) continue to sleep and brought her breakfast later. Am sure they will be very helpful.
