Cape Town - which hotel please?

We've had quotes for The Bay Hotel and the Royal. Both sit us location wise. Is one better for the facilities on offer I wonder? We'll be travelling with 2 dcs, age 7 and 10.

Have you chosen your hotel yet? We have just returned from Cape Town, travelling with a 2 year old. We haven't stayed in either of your choices, but have stayed in Camps Bay during previous visits (while it was just the 2 of us).

I'm afraid I can't help with specifics of the hotels but if you still need any info about the localities let me know.

I am just back from there with a three year old and baby. We stayed in a sister apartment hotel type property of the Bay Hotel (amongst a couple of other hotels in CT). The Bay is pretty smart and full of rather glamorous, tanned cocktail drinking people. I think the Bay is a better location than the Royale though I have never been inside the Royale to see the facilities.
