Self catering accommodation near Edinburgh

Hi,

We're off to a wedding mid May, that's taking place at South Queensferry. Not only is DH and DS coming, but his sister, DH and her brood of four!!! (inc. new baby). god help us!

So we thought it would be good to stay together (are we mad?) in a self catering place. We've been trawling the net but it's hard to find the family friendly stuff amongst it all.

We would consider anything in Edinburgh itself or to the north west of it.

Can anyone help????

What about these
Linlithgow is probably only about 10 minutes (15 max drive from South Queensferry) and is a lovely wee town in its own right.

Tabitha, thank you sooooo much!
This looks like just what we want. Have you stayed there yourself?

r.

I haven't actually, sorry. I live fairly near to Linlithgow and remembered my sil who lives there talking about them - I think friends of a friend of hers stayed there once. I can vouch for Linlithgow being a lovely town though

Can thoroughly recommend these cottages. Have stayed in them on 3 occasions. 20-30 mins drive from Edinburgh.

Oooh, Gillian, they do look nice!

There's another cottage that's not in the picture. The long building is actually 2 cottages which can be opened into one for a large party. We did that over New Year two years ago.

FAB

How about this one? (It's booked for the week from 20/5 but is free otherwise)

Rubineski · 24/01/2006 08:56

Thanks, Janh. We've already looked at that one. Unfortunatley costs 700 pounds plus for the week we want. But would have been perfect otherwise.

Gillian76 - again, thanks. But probably a bit too far south of the city. Could go west.

Thanks everyone for helping. Really appreciate it.

That's the last week of May, which is Bank Hol/halfterm - is that the week you're going? It's only £400+ the other weeks.

Tell them to change the date of the wedding!
