Does anyone know which holiday companies are the 'safest' to book with at the moment?

I've looked at the mainstream ones like First Choice and have heard Thomas Cook are in trouble.

There is a website called 'On The Beach' where I found the same holidays about £500 cheaper - it's ATOL protected apparently.

Any advice? tia

Thomas Cook are fine - my DB works for them at quite a high level and they are financially sound - it was just all hyped up in the media.
