Scuba diving vacation with your 6 months old baby!

We can't wait to go diving. Not been able to go for the last year or so (as I was pregnant!). Now baby is 6 months old and very healthy we are thinking on taking diving vacation (parents not baby!). Not too far maybe in the Red Sea. Has anyone got some tips or could suggest a good company to help us out?

what will you do iwth the baby while you're diving?

If you can hook up with a club then you may be able to stagger dives. We started taking DS when he was 1 on our club outings on sundays. I'd go in, then DH, then swap about again. Our club are great when it comes to DS. He even comes to club nights for swimming.

I know of one company, sure they're called family diving who are based in Tuscany. They provide childcare while you're dooking. Also check out Neilson. They have a nanny service. The best place to find out more is www.divenet.co.uk (I think). Also try Regaldive.

Nice to see another diving mummy around. I'm such a woose though. My gear is packed up till april when the lochs are a bit warmer. DH is a die-hard who will chip through ice to dive.

My ds has fins, mask and snorkel. He also has a very small shorty wetsuit. Bit cold over here for that though. He's not bad with a snorkel but he's been brought up round divers.
